Councilman Ridley-Thomas launching the 1998 Dialogue sessions 2000 Calendar: Dates and Times of Dialogues Introduction Days of Dialogue is a nonpartisan initiative to create dialogue on sensitive social issues and foster constructive change among the diverse groups in American society. Dialogues are organized throughout the year, but special emphasis is placed on scheduling events in observation of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday each January. Public agencies, community organizations and residents, businesses, educational institutions and others are encouraged to host and participate in dialogues during this time. City of Los Angeles
